What college in Massachusetts can you go to if you want to pursue a counseling career?
Q. I would like to go to college in Massachusetts to pursue a counseling career. Doesn't have to be a certain field of counseling, just in general. Which colleges would I be able to go to so I could get my education and degree in counseling?

A. You need a graduate degree in either social work or clinical psychology to be a counselor. For undergrad, just try to go to the best college academically that you can get into. Massachusetts has some of the top colleges in the nation: Williams, Amherst, Harvard, Holy Cross, Boston College, Tufts to name just a few.

How can I become a teacher in Massachusetts if I'm a teacher in Rhode Island?
Q. I am an elementary teacher fully certified with 14 years of experience in rhode island and i'm moving to massachusetts. I need to get certified but i'm looking for the easiest way to do so.
Asked by Shay - Mon Jul 27 14:39:59 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Yes. There is no easy way in Massachusetts! I went from NH to MA and had to show my current certification and take the teacher competency exam. They also want all college transcripts. Keep a record of all work shops hours, and courses as far back as five years. I've heard (depending who you talk to at the certification board) it was accepted in lieu of the exam or full instead of provisional certificaton. P.S. Make copies of everything - things seem to get lost there for some unknown reason. (I had to summit my paper work three times. I made them sign for the third set. That solved the problem.) Good Luck!

Q. Can someone who is bipolar become a Massachusetts State Trooper? I really want to be one but I don't know if I can for I am bipolar. I know I have things to work on before then, like my asthma, but I can't control my bipolarity it don't just go away, ya know?

A. lets see, i'm just guessing but i'd assume that you are/ or have been on a psychotropic drug (and probably a powerful one if your bipolar). I would think that most police agencies would not feel confident having you out in the field and armed but i could be wrong. the best site i found for you so far (Massachusetts State Police Academy) is listed below. i'm sorry. you could also look at other job opportunities within the "state police force" like a 911 operator, possibly a CSI (i'm not joking) or something similar.

I just moved from Massachusetts to California. Will my car insurance/accident history get transfered?
Q. I have heard that Massachusetts insurance companies are typically independent of California insurance companies. As a consequence, California insurance companies wont have access to my records in Mass. This would mean that my old claims/history won't affect my new insurance policy in California. Can someone tell me if this true.

What are the rules governing settlement awards to minor children in Massachusetts?
Q. My son was injured in a bus accident in Massachusetts. We have reached a settlement with the bus company, which I know as to be approved by the court. We would like to use the money to pay his school tuition (he attends parochial elementary school). Is something like this possible or does the money have to be held in trust until he turns 18? We've heard conflicting info. We wouldn't even mind having the bus company pay the school directly if that would work.
Asked by Kate G - Wed Apr 22 20:13:03 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. There is no rule as such. If the settlement includes payment of costs for future care, a trust is often the best way to make sure the money is there. If the settlement is for lost earning capacity and the amount is large, again, it is better to put it into a trust, from which it can be available over his lifetime. Otherwise, as his parents, it is up to you to spend the money for his benefit as you see fit. The bus company may not want to pay the school directly.

But, I know little about it besides the people seem nicer, more educated, and the way they dress is more conservative.and, I haven't picked a college yet there, I just don't know much about Massachusetts. A. Weather gets quite cold in Winter but the change of seasons can be attractive with the leaves changing colors. The Boston area has over 50 degree-granting institutions, and Massachusetts is home to 65 public and private colleges and universities. Some of the well-known ones are Harvard, MIT, Holy Cross, Tufts, Boston College, Boston University, and the University of Massachusetts. It truly is the college capital of the US.

A. Getting most of information you need is easy. The hardest information to get is financial information since it is proprietary and most companies will refuse to tell you how much they sell and how much they make. but there is a way to work out an average. For instance total sales in your city for restaurants is 1 million dollars and your city has 3 restaurants so you assume that each restaurnt made $333,333 in sales per year but wait one restaurant is bigger than the other 2 one restaurant is 1000 sq feet the other two are only 500 sq feet so that means the big restaurant made $500,000 in one year and the 2 smaller ones made $166,000 and change you can work out sales roughly by working out the square footage of the restaurants… [cont.]

What was the states of Kentucky and Massachusetts smoking?
Q. I can't believe that a@@ backwards borderline retarded Kentuckians actually want to segregate their schools. Give me a break. Kentucky needs all the diversity it can get. Morons! Not surprise at Massachusetts at all. It's always been a racist state and now it has shown it's true colors in full bloom. The thought of any person actually attending a all one race school is a step backwards in the wrong direction. I will never go to, support, nor spend another dime on anything from either of those states. You have George Bush to thank for appointing such a@@holes as Supreme Court Judges. And those that voted for him. Do you still think he's doing a good job?
