Designed as the lexical companion to Wikipedia, the encyclopaedia project, Wiktionary has grown beyond a standard dictionary and now includes a thesaurus, a rhyme guide, phrase books, language statistics and extensive appendices. We aim to include not only the definition of a word, but also enough information to really understand it. Thus etymologies, pronunciations, sample quotations, synonyms, antonyms and translations are included. The law of trusts and estates is generally considered the body of law which governs the management of personal affairs and the disposition of property of an individual in anticipation of the event of such person's incapacity or death, also known as the law of successions in civil law. Its techniques are also used to fulfil the wishes of philanthropic bequests or gifts through the creation, maintenance and supervision of charitable trusts. In some jurisdictions, such as the United States, it can overlap with the area that has come to be known as elder law that deals not only with estate planning but other issues that face the elderly, such as home care, long term care insurance or social security or disability benefits. There may also be overlap with areas of the law touching on End-of-life issues, not solely for the elderly, but also persons with HIV/AIDS, or other terminal conditions. From Wikipedia under the

Asked by tom l - Fri Nov 30 10:47:27 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. It is critical that you focus valuation on FFO and AFFO. Clearly, you want a measure of financial performance that is not distorted by gains on sales or overly harsh depreciation. Good Luck From Invest in REITs website: " The REIT industry also uses Funds From Operations (FFO) as a supplemental measure of a REIT s operating performance. NAREIT defines FFO as net income (computed in accordance with GAAP) excluding gains or losses from sales of most property and depreciation of real estate. When real estate companies use FFO in public releases or SEC filings, the law requires them to reconcile FFO to GAAP net income. Many real estate professionals as well as investors believe that commercial real estate maintains residual value to a much… [cont.] Answered by StopSpending - Mon Dec 3 00:35:53 2007 what is typical fee for executors of estates in Nevada? I am not an attorney but was asked by my aunt to serve? Q. I will be serving as my aunt's executor of her estate. She now has cancer. I plan to carry out her wishes in settling her trust and her estate, selling her home and her assets. What is a typical hourly fee to do this? I am not an attorney, but will be putting many hours into this. She has a legal living trust. This is in Nevada. Asked by Lynne M - Tue Oct 13 01:14:04 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. The typical hourly rate, if you are not a professional attorney, is nil. You wouldn't charge for this. You should be able to deduct your expenses from the estate (which could include hiring a professional attorney to help you administer the estate), but you wouldn't expect to get paid yourself. If you are concerned about the time you are going to spend on this, if she is still well enough, speak to her about it. You could suggest some of these options: (i) that you are not appointed executor but an attorney is; (ii) that she recognises that if you are executor you would need an attorney to assist; (iii) that she increases the amount she is leaving you in her will to take account of the hours you will put in (not probably a good option if… [cont.] Answered by Jon G - Tue Oct 13 01:46:17 2009 Is Bill Gates really the richest man in the world?
Q. Forbes reports Bill Gates as being the Richest man in the world. They only have access to public records, publicly traded companies, and of course speculation. Are there billionaires out there that just like to be more private and low key? You can hold billions in off-shore accounts, real estate, trusts, private companies, etc and no one ever knows about them. My guess is that most billionaires are worth a lot more than what Forbes reports and that the list should be at least twice as long. Your thoughts?
